Bulgarian becomes world champion in aeromodelling

Eleonora Pavlova brings brilliant success to Ruse and Bulgaria

Ruse and Bulgaria have reason to be proud after Eleonora Pavlova from the Sports Club for Aeromodelling “Prista“ won the title of World Champion among women at the World Championship for free-flying models, class F1E. The competition, which brought together elite athletes from 14 countries, was held from August 11 to 15 in Rana, Czech Republic. Among the participants were strong teams from Japan, the United States, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Great Britain, Romania, France, Italy, Germany and Bulgaria.

One of the brightest stars in this technological sport

Eleonora Pavlova's success is not accidental. She has been a national competitor since 2022 and has dominated Bulgarian aeromodelling for the past two years, winning the men's championship title in 2023 and 2024. Eleonora ranks among the top 10 in the world rankings for men and ranks first among women in the annual rankings of the International Aeronautical Federation. These achievements have established her as one of the brightest names in the sport, and the gold medal from the World Championship is a logical continuation of her rise.

Success achieved with perseverance and talent

Despite the extremely difficult and unfavorable weather conditions during the competition in the Czech Republic, Eleonora's talent and perseverance helped her overcome the competition and win the gold medal. She proved that she is among the best in the world, and this success is proof of the high level of Bulgarian aeromodelling.

The "Prista" team with excellent performance

The team of the Ruse club "Prista", led by coach Lyubomir Bakalov, also included Milen Iliev and Velizar Vladev. Velizar achieved an excellent 7th place in the rankings, contributing to Bulgaria's strong performance on the world stage.

By the end of the year, Eleonora Pavlova will have four more World Cup rounds to participate in, as well as the Republican Championship, where she will have the opportunity to consolidate her leading position.
