We can now safely say that during the rule of Prime Minister Zhelyazkov there were mass murders. According to the data of forensics in Petrokhan and Okolchitsa, it is about the murder of six people. The case acquires particular gravity and has a strong public impact. The apparent disappearance of the Minister of the Interior Daniel Mitov contributes to the creation of myths and hysteria. In Bulgarian practice, whenever there is a similar phenomenon - explosive suicide, kidnapping or organized criminal activity - the Ministry of the Interior must assume its role and publicly declare what its leadership is taking to the public. If we go back 25 years, we will see that publicity was leading - important politicians clearly and openly explained what they were doing and what actions they were taking. This was announced in front of Lili Marinkova in studio “FACTS“ and in the program “Conversation“ Yavor Haitov, former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Covering the facts is one thing, and the main things are contained between the covers of the case. The rest are free interpretations. Whatever we say, we are talking about six young Bulgarians who were killed – among them a young man and a child“, the guest added.

“It turns out that concealing information sometimes seems like a greater “art“, but this does not achieve prevention. Crimes such as thefts, robberies, murders, sexual crimes, espionage and betrayals are not prevented through silence, but through clear actions to implement the Criminal Code“, Haitov also shared.

“According to a signal from DANS, a file was opened on the “Petrohan“ case. It was sent to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, which assessed that it did not have territorial jurisdiction and referred it to another prosecutor's office. A third check followed, and the essential materials remained unclear. Subsequently, information appeared on the Internet, although the material was classified. It is necessary to establish where this information came from and how state secrets are protected. The state must keep its secrets, but also clearly show what it is doing and in what direction it is going“, the guest also said.
