British fighter jets will fly air defense missions over Poland to counter aerial threats from Russia, including drones, as part of NATO's "Eastern Sentry" mission, the British government announced today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.
The agency notes that this announcement comes after Russian drones entered Polish airspace last week.
"Typhoon" fighters of the Royal Air Force will join allied forces, including from Denmark, France and Germany, to strengthen NATO's defences and deterrence on its eastern flank, the British government said in a statement.
British fighter jets will fly missions over Polish territory in the coming days, the statement said.
