Yulia Navalny, the widow of the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, said that foreign laboratory tests of biological samples taken from her husband show that he was poisoned, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

Forty-seven-year-old Navalny died suddenly on February 16, 2024, in the Arctic penal colony "Polar Wolf", which deprived the opposition of its most charismatic and popular leader, the agency recalls.

Yulia has repeatedly accused Russia of killing him - a claim that the Kremlin rejects as ridiculous.

She posted a video on "Ex" in which she said that biological material from Navalny was secretly exported abroad in 2024 and that two laboratories had examined the material. "These laboratories in two different countries came to the same conclusion: Alexei was murdered. Specifically, he was poisoned," Navalna said. She demanded that the laboratories publish their conclusions on what she called "the inconvenient truth".

She did not specify what poisonous agent the laboratories had found.

Last year, Navalna rejected information from Russian investigators that Navalny died of "a combination of diseases.".

U.S. intelligence agencies have determined that President Vladimir Putin did not order Navalny's assassination, the Associated Press and the "Wall Street Journal" noted.
