Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that he had presented to European powers a “fair and balanced proposal“ on its nuclear program, in order to prevent the return of UN sanctions against Tehran, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

Iran “has presented a creative, fair and balanced proposal that meets the legitimate concerns and is mutually beneficial“, Araghchi wrote on the social network “Ex“.

He added that yesterday the proposal was presented to Britain, France and Germany, known as the E3 group, as well as to the EU.

“The implementation of this idea could be rapid and allow the coordination of the relevant red lines to avoid a crisis“, he warned, adding that "Iran cannot be the sole responsible actor".

The Iranian minister's statement comes amid expectations that the UN Security Council will authorize the reimposition of sanctions against Tehran today.
