The Russian-appointed leadership of the Zaporizhzhia NPP said today that the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the largest nuclear power plant in Europe yesterday with at least three drones, TASS reported.

At least two of the drones exploded above the roof of a training center building. Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who were inside were evacuated to a safe place, the statement said.

The text states that the radiation background in the area is within normal limits.

"Despite the absurd and dangerous actions of the Kiev regime, the situation is under control," the press service of the Russian-appointed management of the Zaporizhzhia NPP emphasized.

These claims have not been independently verified. There has been no comment from the Ukrainian side so far.
