The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the creation of separate assault troops with drones, which will quickly enter into operation. He stated this during a conversation with journalists on September 19, RBC-Ukraine reports, quoted by FOCUS.
"We have assault battalions, regiments, which show, of course, good results throughout 2025. And we decided that we need to enter the right formula."The Russians“ decided to do the same as us. We recall that on March 3, Deputy Chief of the Ground Forces of the Ministry of Defense Vadim Skibitsky stated in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that the number of Russian ground forces fighting Ukrainian defenders is about 620 thousand people.
He specified that among these 620 thousand, over 200 thousand are assault units that participate in battles and are on the front line.
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that as of September 18, there were over 700 thousand Russian soldiers on the front line in Ukraine.
