Tokayev urged Zelensky to continue diplomacy to resolve the conflict in Ukraine

The two sides also discussed bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation

During a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict, the Kazakh leader's press service reported.

“On the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Volodymyr Zelensky. The Kazakh president expressed the opinion that in this extremely difficult situation, diplomatic efforts should continue to find ways to end the conflict“, the statement said.

“Zelensky outlined his views on the situation in Ukraine“, the press service added.

The parties also reportedly discussed bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation.
