US President Donald Trump said today after his meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN headquarters in New York that he believes that Ukraine, with the support of the EU and NATO, can regain all the territory seized by Russia after the invasion, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
In a post on his social network "Truth Social" After the meeting with the Ukrainian president, Trump added that he would continue to supply weapons to the military alliance, "with which NATO can do whatever it wants."
For his part, in a brief statement to journalists before the meeting between the two, Zelensky said that the main topics of his conversation with Trump would be the situation on the battlefield, security guarantees from the United States and the search for a path to peace.
Previously, the Ukrainian president also said that at his meeting with Trump he hoped to receive confirmation of the promised security guarantees. According to Zelensky, Ukraine and its European partners have prepared a framework for these guarantees - one that Europe is ready to accept, provided it receives support from the United States.
