Poland: We will not tolerate Russia's ruthless provocative actions

Poland is ready to defend its territory, President Nawrocki announced

Poland is ready to "defend its territory", President Karol Nawrocki announced from the UN rostrum, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reported.

He said this in his speech yesterday during the general policy debates within the framework of the 80th annual session of the General Assembly of the world organization, after at least 19 drones entered Polish airspace amid a massive Russian air attack on neighboring Ukraine on the night of September 9-10.

"Poland will always react appropriately and is ready to defend its territory... The Polish people, as well as the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, will not be afraid of Russian drones," said Nawrocki.

"We will not "We tolerate Moscow's ruthless provocative actions against us and other countries, which test our reactions and intimidate our societies," the Polish nationalist president added.

His statement was preceded by three incidents in less than two weeks of Russian drones or fighter jets entering NATO countries - Poland, Romania and Estonia. Russia has denied any such incidents, AFP notes.
