US President Donald Trump called the stopping of the escalator at the entrance to the UN headquarters in New York, as well as the malfunctions with the teleprompter and the audio system in the hall, "sabotage". He demanded an investigation and arrest of those responsible.
"The people who did this should be arrested", he wrote on the social network Truth Social. "This was not a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN. They should be ashamed. I am copying this letter to the Secretary-General and demanding an immediate investigation,” the US president added.
“It is no surprise that the United Nations has failed to do the job it was created to do. All security footage of the escalator should be preserved, especially footage of the emergency stop button. The Secret Service is involved in this matter,” Trump added.
