The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga held a meeting with his Canadian colleague Anita Anand during the UN General Assembly in New York, Ukrinform reported.
In a post on the social network “Ex“, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister described the conversation as “productive and meaningful“. He stressed that the partnership between Ukraine and Canada remains stable and expressed gratitude for Canadian support.
According to Sibiga, the focus of the talks was:
strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities;
agreement on sanctions against the Russian energy sector;
additional measures to increase pressure on Moscow.
