The US State Department said it would revoke the visa of Colombian President Gustavo Petro after accusing him of encouraging US soldiers "to disobey orders and incite violence" in New York, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
"We will cancel Petro's visa due to his reckless and inciting actions", the State Department wrote on the social network "Ex".
No further evidence or details have been provided so far, DPA notes.
US President Donald Trump has previously criticized Colombia's leftist leader over his policy on drug trafficking.
A document signed by Trump states that during Petro's administration, coca cultivation and cocaine production reached record levels. The US president accused his Colombian counterpart of worsening the situation with his incorrect policies.
