Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that he considers himself a "Trumpist", adding that both he and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have "great respect" for US President Donald Trump.

"I understand Trump. He has a tactic: he pushes forward, then retreats, then pushes forward again. Sometimes he risks everything. He is a rebel.

I myself am not much different from Trump in this regard," Lukashenko told reporters after the conclusion of his bilateral talks with Putin in Moscow, as reported by TASS.

"In the near future, everything will fall into place. "Trump has taken a very good, worthy position," Lukashenko explained, emphasizing that "there is no need to rush to judgments" regarding Trump's statements.
