A Russian submarine from the Black Sea Fleet has declared an alarm of "danger of explosion" after a fuel leak was reported in the Mediterranean Sea, according to a Russian Telegram channel known for publishing military news, the AP reported.
The post states that fuel has seeped into the hold and created a dangerous accumulation.
It is added that the crew does not have spare parts or specialists to repair the damage.
The source also warns that sailors may have to pump the fuel directly into the sea to reduce the risk.
