Two people, an elderly woman and a child, died in a nighttime drone attack in the Moscow region, Governor Andrei Vorobyov said, quoted by TASS, reports News.bg.
According to him, air defense systems shot down four drones over the territory of Voskresensk and Kolomna. However, a fire broke out in a private house in the city of Voskresensk, killing a 76-year-old woman and her 6-year-old grandson.
“Unfortunately, a tragedy occurred in Voskresensk: two people died in a fire in a private house - a 76-year-old woman and her 6-year-old grandson,“ the governor wrote. He expressed condolences to the relatives and assured that the family would receive the necessary assistance.
Vorobyov specified that several houses in Voskresensk had damage to their windows and facades, as well as to street lighting. According to authorities, there were no other casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene, and those affected will be provided with temporary accommodation.
