Sweden will support Denmark with anti-drone systems in connection with the high-level meetings in Copenhagen this week, after last week Denmark was forced to close several airports due to drones, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristershon said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.

Denmark will host a meeting of EU leaders on Wednesday and will convene a meeting of the 47-member European political community on Thursday. The country has already said it is strengthening security measures for the events after drones were intercepted over the country.

Kristershon wrote in "Ex" that Sweden will send anti-drone systems and that separately yesterday the country provided him with "several" Denmark's radar systems.

Yesterday, Denmark imposed a ban on the launch of civilian drones after drones were spotted flying over military installations overnight.

In addition, France will also support the Danish army and contribute to its anti-drone capabilities, the French Defense Ministry said.

The French government said it would assist Denmark with a "Fennec" helicopter, as well as a team of 35 people.
