Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that he did not accept the principle of creating a Palestinian state in his meeting with US President Donald Trump yesterday, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.

"I did not accept this at all and it does not appear in the agreement. "However, one thing was made clear (during discussions with Trump) and that is that we are firmly opposed to a possible Palestinian state," Netanyahu said in a video posted on his Telegram account.

The plan presented by Donald Trump states that "ultimately all the conditions are in place to proceed with clear self-determination and the creation of a Palestinian state."

The leaders of the European institutions today welcomed US President Donald Trump's 20-point plan for peace in the Gaza Strip, DPA reported.

"President Trump's plan is an opportunity for lasting peace. It is the best immediate chance to end the war. The EU is ready to help it succeed," wrote EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kallas in Ex.

The plan, which was adopted yesterday by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, includes the complete disarmament of the Hamas group, the immediate release of Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners and the withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza Strip.

"Israel has already supported the plan. Now Hamas must also accept it without any delay and start releasing the hostages immediately," Kallas said.
