Around 20 flights were canceled late last night at the German airport in Munich due to drones spotted in the area, local police announced this morning, quoted by DPA and BTA.
According to police, several people reported seeing a drone near the airport, and later the aircraft was also seen above the airport itself.
According to initial data, it is not yet clear whether it was one or several drones.
German police said that the runways at Munich airport were temporarily closed late in the evening as a precaution.
Local and federal police officers searched the area for drones and suspicious persons, but found nothing. A police helicopter was also dispatched.
