Duma Deputy: Ukrainian Deserters Flee to Russia, Take Military Oath and Fight Against Kiev Regime

150,000 Ukrainians Have Fleeed the Battlefield from January to August, Moscow Estimates

Russian State Duma Deputy and Reserve Major General Leonid Ivlev said that the number of deserters in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is equivalent to several armies.

Ivlev said that the number of deserters among Ukrainian servicemen is 150,000 - a significant figure. According to him, it is equivalent to two or three combined armies.

„Moreover, they deserted not only in Poland, Hungary and Romania, but also in Russia. "Many of them took a military oath to Russia, took up arms and went to fight the regime in Kiev," the parliamentarian noted.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine's armed forces had lost more than 44,000 soldiers in the past month. From January to August, the number of deserters in the Ukrainian army amounted to approximately 150,000.
