The official Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia has all the necessary resources, including in the space field, to independently carry out its military tasks, BTA reports.
“We have our own potential, including space, to carry out all the tasks set for the special military operation (that's what Russia calls the war in Ukraine - ed. note)“,“Interfax“ agency quoted him as saying.
Peskov made this statement in response to publications according to which China provides Russia with satellite data for intelligence in Ukrainian territories.
Earlier, an employee of the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service, Oleg Alexandrov, told “Ukrinform“ that “there are facts of a high level of interaction between Russia and China in conducting satellite reconnaissance on the territory of Ukraine in order to designate and further reconnaissance of strategic objects for destruction“.
However, there is no independent confirmation of these allegations.
Officially, Beijing continues to maintain a neutral position towards the war between Russia and Ukraine, although it maintains economic and technological cooperation with Moscow.
