Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his country is capable of producing drones and missiles worth $35 billion in 2026.

He pointed out that the potential of the Ukrainian defense industry has increased tenfold since the beginning of the war against Russia.

In Telegram, Zelensky pointed out that over 40% of the weapons used on the front were produced in Ukraine or in cooperation with it. "The task for manufacturers, for the Ukrainian government, for all participating institutions is that at least 50% of the weapons on the front by the end of the year should be ours, Ukrainian weapons. And this task must be accomplished," he stressed.

In addition, the Ukrainian leader revealed that Ukraine will begin exporting the types of weapons it has "in surplus" so that it can use these funds to increase the production of drones and missiles.

Separately, Zelensky earlier said that the Russian military used 549 weapons systems containing 102,785 components manufactured abroad in its "large-scale" strike against Ukraine last night. He indicated that the parts were manufactured in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea.

Zelensky specified that Ukraine's partners "already have detailed data on each company and each product" and will be able to impose punitive measures on them. He added that Kiev expects a "systemic solution that ensures that sanctions are truly effective" at a meeting of G7 sanctions coordinators later this week.
