US President Donald Trump criticized Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, describing her as "angry" and advising her to seek medical help, News.bg reports.

He made his statement shortly after Israel deported Thunberg and 170 other activists detained during their participation in a flotilla with humanitarian aid headed to Gaza.

“She has an anger management problem. I think she should see a doctor. For a young person, she's so angry. She's so crazy, just a troublemaker,“, Trump said.

About 450 activists, including and Greta Thunberg, were detained last week aboard the Global Sumud flotilla, which was carrying food, water and medical supplies to Gaza.

The flotilla of 45 ships was intended to break an Israeli blockade and deliver aid to the region, where the United Nations has reported famine conditions after two years of conflict. Israel began intercepting the ships in international waters on Wednesday, preventing them from reaching Palestinian territory.

After her detention last week, Thunberg arrived in Greece yesterday along with 160 other activists from the Global Sumud flotilla after being deported from Israel. During her arrest, she was held in a cell full of bedbugs and forced to kiss the Israeli flag before being released.

Later today, the Swedish activist responded to the words of the American president.

“To Trump: I'll take any recommendations you may have for dealing with these so-called “anger management issues“, because - judging by your impressive track record - it seems like you suffer from them too,“ Thunberg wrote sarcastically on Instagram.
