Kim Jong-un calls on party members to get rid of all vices

The 80th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea will be marked on October 10

During a visit to the Workers' Party of Korea History Museum, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un delivered a “significant speech“ in which he called on his party members to get rid of all bureaucratic vices, including opportunism and abuse of power, the Korean Central News Agency reported.

“Our party will accelerate the progress of the revolution by eradicating all vices: not only ignorance and incompetence, irresponsibility, opportunism, formalism and intrigue, but also arbitrariness and abuse of power that harm the cause of socialism,“ Kim Jong-un said.

“Only the best cadres who carry revolution in their hearts, are ready to defend it and work properly until the goal is achieved; only people who are ready to demonstrate organizational talent and courage to overcome all difficulties will be able to lead in these times“, he added.

The North Korean leader said that not only the attitude of party members towards the masses, their moral character and their style of work must change, but also their way of thinking and skills. The country's leader noted that he feels proud when he remembers the history of the Workers' Party of Korea in the building where this political organization was founded. He said that the DPRK is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the party on the threshold of a new era of development and prosperity.

The anniversary of the founding of the party will be marked on October 10.
