Taiwanese President Lai Chin-te said on Monday that the government will build a "T-Dome" air defense system to ensure a multi-layered and effective deterrence of enemy threats, Reuters reported.
Lai, in his National Day speech, said Taiwan is determined to maintain peace through force and urged China to abandon the use of coercion to change the status quo.
