An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 was registered in the Kamchatka Territory. This was reported on October 11 in the Telegram channel of the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (the Seismology Branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences), Focus reports.
It is indicated that the seismic event occurred at a distance of 90 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and its epicenter was at a depth of 53.4 km.
On October 10, the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kamchatka Territory reported that seven earthquakes with a magnitude of 4.5 to 5.8 were registered in the region over the past 24 hours. It is stated that the tremors were felt twice in the settlements.
