The Albania Investment Forum – Turkey will be held on October 17 at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, ATA reports, BTA reports.

The event is organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) and the Albanian branch of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen of Turkey (MÜSİAD).

According to ATA, this is the largest investment forum between the two countries, with over 1,500 business representatives, institutions and investors from Albania and Turkey expected to participate.

The opening will be attended by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, accompanied by a delegation of ministers and representatives of Turkish state institutions.

AIDA Executive Director Lyaura Saro stressed the importance of the forum as a platform for presenting Albania as a sustainable investment destination and for strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

The focus of the event will be on strategic sectors with high potential - construction, information technology and communications, tourism, agriculture and food processing.

The program includes thematic panels and business meetings between companies, as well as between representatives of the private sector and the government, with the aim of creating concrete opportunities for partnerships and exchange of experience.

According to ATA, trade relations between Albania and Turkey have significantly strengthened in recent years.

In 2024, imports from Turkey to Albania increased by 14%, reaching 96.6 billion Albanian lek (about 998.2 million euros). For the first seven months of 2025, this indicator amounted to 50.8 billion lek (approximately 525 million euros).

Exports from Albania to Turkey in 2024 were 4.8 billion lek (49.6 million euros), and for the period January-July 2025 - 2.7 billion lek (27.9 million euros).

Currently, 658 Turkish companies operate in Albania, located in almost all districts of the country. The highest concentration is in Tirana (82%), Durres (6%) and Fier (3%).

The presence of Turkish business in the country, ATA emphasizes, is an indicator of the growing interest of Turkish investors in the Albanian market and contributes to the deepening of economic ties between the two countries.
