The Director of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) Alexander Bortnikov said today that Moscow has no doubt that "NATO special services" are involved in incidents with alleged Russian drones in the airspace over the territory of the European Union, Reuters and TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed a "anti-drone wall" after about 20 alleged Russian drones entered the airspace of Poland, a member of the EU and NATO, last month.
The incidents with the appearance of alleged Russian drones over EU countries come at a time of hysteria over the "threat from the East" and efforts to form a European coalition to send of troops in Ukraine talk about the involvement of NATO special services in these incidents, the head of the FSB said at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Bodies and Special Services of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Uzbek city of Samarkand.
"Against the background of the preparations in question, the sudden incidents with alleged Russian drones over the territory of the EU arose just in time. Professionals have no doubt about the involvement of NATO special services in them," Bortnikov noted.
"Especially after linking the drone provocation to the so-called "shadow fleet of Russia", the FSB director also said.
