The Israeli military has launched an attack on Gaza, Israeli media reported today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reported.
The report comes as Israel and the Palestinian movement “Hamas“ continue to blame each other for violations of a US-brokered ceasefire that ended the war in the enclave.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military on the reported attack.
Israeli television “Kan“ reported that the air force was attacking Rafah in southern Gaza. Most media outlets described the attack as airstrikes.
The Israeli military said on Friday that “several terrorists“ opened fire on soldiers in the Rafah area, causing no injuries. The military later said it had struck another group of “terrorists” who were approaching troops in Khan Yunis on the same day. The military will continue to operate to eliminate immediate threats, it said.
