Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has rejected US President Donald Trump's claim that the United States has destroyed Iran's nuclear capabilities, Reuters reports.
"The US president proudly says that they bombed and destroyed Iran's nuclear industry. Okay, keep dreaming!", he said.
In his words, the latest "nonsense statements" for his country are part of Washington's broader efforts to lift the spirits of "disillusioned Zionists".
"My analysis of the US president's visit to occupied Palestine is that he went there to try to encourage and give hope to the disillusioned Zionists with a bunch of empty words and nonsense. They were so badly hit in the 12-day war that they couldn't believe it, didn't expect it and lost hope," Khamenei stressed.
