Russian President Vladimir Putin attended a large-scale test of Russia's nuclear forces on land, sea and air, reports „Reuters“, reports News.bg.
The purpose of the test was to assess the readiness and effectiveness of the command structure of the strategic forces.
According to information from the Kremlin, during the tests, an intercontinental ballistic missile „Yars“ was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome to the Kura range in Kamchatka. In addition, Tu-95MS strategic bombers launched cruise missiles.
The strategic submarine cruiser "Bryansk" also participated in the maneuvers, launching a ballistic missile "Sineva" from the Barents Sea.
