Russian strategic bombers Tu-23MZ carried out a planned flight over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry reported, quoted by TASS, BTA reports.
"Strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a planned flight over neutral waters in the Baltic Sea. They were escorted by Su-35S and Su-27 fighter jets," the ministry said in a statement.
They added that in separate stages of the more than 5-hour flight, the bombers were escorted by fighter jets of other countries.
