Five injured, number of missing is being updated

Nine deaths have been confirmed after an explosion at a factory in Kopeysk, the governor of Russia's Chelyabinsk region, Alexei Teksler, announced on his Telegram channel.

„As of now, nine deaths have been confirmed. Five people are injured and our medical staff is doing everything possible to stabilize their condition,“ he wrote.

Information about the missing, according to Teksler, is being updated.

An explosion at a factory in Kopeysk occurred yesterday evening. Four people were reported dead. Teksler stressed that the version of a Ukrainian drone attack has not been confirmed. The governor later reported a second explosion at the scene of the fire.

The authorities promised to provide all necessary assistance to the families of the dead and injured.
