Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the American website Axios that Ukraine and its allies have agreed to work on a ceasefire plan in the conflict with Russia over the next ten days, Reuters reports, quoted by BTA.
According to the agency, this is happening after US President Donald Trump's proposal to freeze the conflict along the current front lines.
„A few brief notes. As a ceasefire plan. "We decided that we will work on it in the next week or ten days," Zelensky said.
The president stressed that Ukraine had asked the Washington administration not only for Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles, but also “other similar things“ that do not require extensive training in order to increase pressure on Russia for negotiations.
