US President Donald Trump said today that he was "too busy" to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un during his tour of Asia this week. At the same time, Trump expressed his willingness to return to the region to meet with Kim, Agence France-Presse and Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

"I had a great relationship with Kim Jong-un", the US president noted on board his plane departing from South Korea, where he met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping earlier today.

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that it would be appropriate for his country to test nuclear weapons to keep up with other nuclear powers, Reuters reported.

The locations where such tests would be carried out would be determined later, he told reporters on board his plane before departing from South Korea, where he met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping.

Earlier today, the US president announced that he had ordered the Department of Defense to immediately begin testing nuclear weapons. He did not give details. Trump made the statement before his meeting with the leader of China, which is also a nuclear power.

Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that his country had tested a nuclear-powered supertorpedo. On Sunday, Russia said it had completed testing a new cruise missile with a mini-nuclear reactor "Petrel".
