The Slovenian government has approved a bill introducing a mandatory Christmas bonus for all employees, local media reported, quoted by BTA.

The so-called winter holiday allowance will be half the minimum wage, which means it will be worth 639 euros this year.

According to the regulation adopted yesterday, the deadline for paying the bonus is no later than 18 days after the deadline for paying salaries in November. If the company has liquidity difficulties, the money can be paid by March 31, notes the Slovenian edition of “Forbes“.
