Moldovan President Maia Sandu swore in the new cabinet of ministers, headed by Alexandru Munteanu, whose composition was approved by parliament the day before. The ceremony was held at the presidential administration building and was broadcast live on the government's website.

In his speech to parliament, Munteanu promised to sign an agreement with Brussels on the country's EU accession by 2028. To achieve this, he said, Moldova must complete the process of aligning its legislation with European standards, meet Brussels' requirements for foreign and domestic policy, and meet a number of other criteria. In addition, Moldova will continue to strengthen its partnership with NATO and gradually integrate into the pan-European defense architecture, while maintaining its neutrality. In the energy sector, the republic will continue to connect to the EU energy network and implement green energy.

Only the ruling pro-European Action and Solidarity Party supported the cabinet in parliament; all opposition factions voted against it, criticizing its program and composition.
