Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with members of the Doha-based Hamas Political Bureau in Istanbul today, TRT Haber reported, citing a post by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on social media.
The meeting comes ahead of talks planned for Monday between foreign ministers of several Muslim countries, which will discuss the ceasefire in Gaza and possible next steps to maintain it.
Yesterday, Fidan said that the meeting will bring together ministers from the eight countries that met with US President Donald Trump in New York in September - Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Pakistan and Indonesia.
