They will not lead to peace

Arms deliveries to Ukraine clearly do not contribute to the settlement of the conflict or the fulfillment of the campaign promises of the current US leadership, according to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

“It is obvious, as proven both by the current situation and previous years, that militarization and arms deliveries, especially to a terrorist regime, will not bring any settlement to the parties to the conflict. And even less will the campaign promises of the current administration be fulfilled“, she told reporters, answering a question about the Pentagon's alleged approval of the supply of “Tomahawk“ missiles for Ukraine.

Citing sources in the US and Europe, CNN reported that the Pentagon has given the White House permission to transfer long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine, as the Defense Department believes that this will not harm the US weapons stockpile. According to CNN, the final political decision on the transfer of missiles now lies with the US president.
