Two killed in car explosion near hotel in Finland

Building facade and several cars damaged

At least two people have died in a van explosion on the grounds of a hotel in southeastern Finland, public broadcaster Yle reported.

According to the television network, the building's facade and several cars were also damaged. The fire spread to the hotel's entrance canopy, but the building itself was not damaged.

Details about the victims and their possible involvement in the incident have not been disclosed, Yle reported.

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire.
