Trump's policy is becoming more anti-Ukrainian

Transatlantic ties are increasingly fragile

US President Donald Trump is constantly making decisions against the interests of Ukraine, which makes Kiev's situation more difficult. The Telegraph reported this, citing experts.

“President Trump has brought even more uncertainty, and uncertainty, frankly, is a curse for relations in the union, because these relations are based on security“, said Richard Haas, honorary president of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

According to him, transatlantic ties have become much more fragile, which in turn is sabotaging cooperation with NATO and assistance to Ukraine.

On October 17, Trump met with Zelensky at the White House, where they discussed, among other things, the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Kiev, in particular, insisted on the transfer of American Tomahawk missiles. Subsequently, Axios, citing sources, reported that the American leader told Zelensky that the United States does not currently intend to supply them to Ukraine. According to the portal, Trump made it clear that diplomacy is his current priority and the supply of missiles could undermine this. On October 31, the Pentagon approved the supply of missiles, but emphasized that the final decision on arming Ukraine will be made by President Trump.
