Viktor Orban on the war in Ukraine: Europe will pay the entire bill after peace

According to Orban, this is why Brussels wants to confiscate frozen Russian assets, review the EU financing system and take out new loans

It is not Hungary's business to finance Ukraine. We have no reason to do so: neither politically, nor economically, nor morally. We are not alone in Europe, but we speak most openly. That is why Brussels continues to attack us. This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Platform X, Focus writes.

A few days ago, Orban indicated that over 20% of the next EU budget is proposed to go to Ukraine, "while the European economy is in serious trouble."

According to "The Economist", Ukraine will need $400 billion over the next four years to continue the war. Weapons, reconstruction, pensions, salaries... and Europe is again expected to foot the bill. There is no one else who is willing to foot the bill," he explained.

According to him, this is why Brussels wants to seize frozen Russian assets, review the EU funding system and take out new loans.

He was categorical that he rejects these actions.

"They want a "jaw government" with a European Public Prosecutor's Office, economic policies in line with the EU, experts approved by Brussels and a prime minister they can control. Over the next four years, we will support Hungarian families, Hungarian businesses and Hungarian pensioners. That is why we are introducing a tax break for mothers with two or three children, expanding our 3% loan scheme for businesses and restoring the 14th pension.

We cannot allow Hungarians' money to be sent to Ukraine," the Hungarian prime minister noted.
