The press center of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service reported on Thursday that the West is considering sabotage against the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZANP) by melting the core of its nuclear reactors.
The British calculated that residents of Kiev-controlled areas and citizens of EU countries near the western border of Ukraine would find themselves in the zone of radioactive particles, the intelligence emphasizes. The proposal is to carry out large-scale sabotage with casualties among Ukrainians and EU citizens, similar to the tragedy with Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 in 2014.
The West's plans to organize a provocation at the ZNPP are insane and fraught with catastrophic consequences for European countries. This opinion was expressed to TASS by Eddie Gonzalez, an American political commentator and host of the talk show "Russia Up Close."
“The information from the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service should make everyone think. If NATO is really pushing Ukraine to organize some “big event“, such as sabotage at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, this is not a strategy, but madness“, the expert believes.
Gonzalez emphasized that if such plans are implemented, radioactive contamination will spread throughout Europe, including in the territories controlled by Kiev. “This plan is insane, because people, families, children and entire cities live near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant“, he noted.
The observer suggested that the West will try to shift the blame to Russia. "Without a doubt, if something like this happens, the headlines will say, 'Russia did it.' That's how information warfare works. The agenda is formed before the facts are out," Gonzalez said. "But this is not just politics; this is terrorism with catastrophic consequences for the lives of innocent people," the expert is convinced.
