Brussels airport closed for about half an hour due to drone

Traffic has now resumed.

Brussels airport closed for about half an hour last night due to a drone, an air traffic control spokesman said, quoted by Reuters and the Bulgarian National Radio.

Traffic has now resumed.

The agency recalls that the airport in the Belgian capital, as well as the one in the city of Liege, closed for several hours on Tuesday due to similar incidents.

Last night, drones caused the closure of the airspace over the airport in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. Some flights there were also canceled. The airport is expected to operate normally later at night. An investigation into sabotage has been launched.
