Several Belgian military intelligence sites were briefly blocked by Russian hackers, local media reported, citing confirmation from the Defense Ministry. No data was stolen, and the hackers' goal was to block access to the websites, BTA reports.

The attack was detected yesterday, while Belgium's National Security Council was meeting in an emergency session due to the entry of drones over airports and military bases in the country, which security services suspect is Russia. The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Brussels denied these suspicions. Also yesterday, the websites of the largest Belgian telecommunications operator were affected.

The hackers in both cases are from the NoName057 group, who have taken responsibility for their actions on "Telegram" and have explained that their intervention is related to statements by the Belgian Minister of Defense, Theo Francken. According to the media, new similar actions can be expected in the coming days.
