At least five people were killed and at least 130 were injured in a tornado that devastated part of a village in the Brazilian state of Paraná, in the south of the country, AFP reported, citing local authorities.
"The Civil Protection of the state of Paraná regrets to announce that five deaths have already been confirmed following the tornado“, an official statement said.
The tornado hit the municipality of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, AFP said.
