A large-scale alert has been declared in Ukraine, the BBC reported.
"An air alert has been declared in the capital due to the takeoff of a Russian MiG-31K, carrying a "Dagger" aeroballistic missile.
"We ask all residents of the capital to immediately head to the nearest shelters and stay there until the end of the alert," the Kiev city administration said in a statement.
The Ukrainian Air Force also confirmed the takeoff of the MiG-31K and warned that there is currently a missile threat to all of Ukraine.
