Ukraine hits Russian oil refinery in Orsk

Russia's Defense Ministry said it shot down a drone, but local authorities did not comment on the consequences of the strike

The Ukrainian army said today that it had hit a Russian oil refinery in the city of Orsk in the Orenburg region, Reuters and Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.

“Explosions and a fire were observed in the premises. According to preliminary information, one of the primary oil processing facilities was hit“, the statement said.

The attack on “Orskneftorgsintez“ was carried out with several drones, “Telegram“ the “Astra“ channel specified, quoted by Ukrinform. Due to the threat from drones, the authorities ordered the closure of the airports in Orsk and Orenburg. An airstrike was also sounded in Novotroitsk.
