Ankara admits 20 soldiers killed in Turkish plane crash in Georgia VIDEO

The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced the death of 20 soldiers in the crash of a C-130 transport plane in Georgia.

On November 11, the ministry reported that a C-130 plane of the Turkish Armed Forces, carrying 20 Turkish soldiers, taking off from Azerbaijan, crashed in Georgia. According to the Georgian side, the plane disappeared from radar a few minutes after entering Georgian airspace without sending a distress signal, after which the ministry launched a search and rescue operation.

The military transport plane crashed about 5 kilometers from the Georgian-Azerbaijani border in the Sighnaghi municipality.

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a criminal investigation into the incident under the article for violation of air transport safety rules resulting in death.
