A 22-year-old man is in critical condition in the Greek capital Athens after trying to swallow a whole burger over a bet with friends, reports “Proto tema“, BTA reported.
The information portal “The TOC” specifies that according to the information, the young man went out to have fun with friends, after which the company decided to make a bet with a challenge – to eat an entire burger without chewing it.
However, during the attempt, his airways were blocked, and his friends did not know how to provide first aid until the ambulance arrived.
The emergency team managed to restore his breathing, but doctors fear that there may be permanent damage to a number of organs, including the brain and kidneys.
